About Flydubai Airlines
Flydubai is a government-owned, low-cost airlines based in Dubai that was started in 2008-09 and has Dubai International Airport as its headquarters. The airline covers a total of 104 destinations. Even though flydubai is not part of The Emirates Group, it was supported by the Emirates group when it was starting.
It was on 14th July 2008, when the airlines signed an order of 50 Boeing 737-800s with American aircraft manufacturer at the Farnborough Air Show. Check-in Baggage
- The passengers travelling in the Economy class need to pre-pay for their luggage. In case their fare includes checked baggage allowance but they have extra luggage, they can pre-pay for 30kg or 40 kg. They are allowed to carry a maximum of 3 bags (pre-paid).
- For the passengers in the Business class, the checked baggage allowance is included in the fare and passengers are allowed to carry up to 3 pieces of baggage with a total weight of 40 kg only. They will have to pay for the extra baggage.
- The size of each bag needs to be 75 x 55 x 35cm and not more than this. Also, the weight of each bag needs to be more than 32 kg.
- It is necessary that your baggage has a tag with your name, address, and telephone number. So, that in case you miss your bag, it could reach you safely.
- Your bag should not have any valuable stuff like money, gold, precious metals, and important documents like passport, ID card, or business documents.
- You are allowed to check-in 3 pieces of bags in checked in baggage but each bag should weigh less than 32 kg.
Hand Baggage
- In economy class, you can carry 1 hand baggage that should not weigh more than 7 kg.
- In business class, you can carry 2 hand baggages that should not weigh more than 14 kg.
- Each bag should not exceed the total dimension of 55*38*20 cm.
- Other than your hand baggage you are also allowed to carry 1 laptop bag, 1 ladies purse and 1 duty free shopping bag in hand baggage.
- You are also allowed to carry a smart bag as hand baggage.
