- In economy class each passenger can carry to baggages and each bag should not exceed 23 kg of weight in one bag. In first and business class passengers are allowed up to 32 kgs in one bag.
- Hand baggage allowance is up to 8kgs.
- There will extra charges for extra baggage.
- The Free Baggage Allowance for passengers travelling from India to Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Najafis is 30 Kgs for Economy class and 40 Kgs for Executive Class.
- Sharjah to Thiruvananthapuram/Chennai, Kuwait to India, Muscat to India, and Bahrain to India flight routes also have 30 kgs for Economy and 40Kgs for Executive class.
- On several other routes in the Middle East and Gulf region, the baggage policy varies. Sometimes there are promotional offers going on offering extra baggage allowance. So check with the airlines.
- Flights routes from Saudi Arabia destinations like Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah to Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kochi, Hyderabad, etc. (and vice-versa) also have varying baggage policy. It ranges from 30 to 50 kgs in Economy class and 40kg to 60 kgs in Executive/Business Class depending on the flight route. Check the Air India website for details.
